  Essence of Abhijit Nakshatra Conventionally, we know that there are 27 nakshatras that map to 12 rashi's and 9 planets in the universe that starts from Ashwini nakshatra (in naisargika order) and ends with Revati nakshatra.  In terms of mapping, it starts with Mesha (Aries) owing to Ashwini Nakshatra and ends with Meena (Pisces) owing to Revathi nakshatra.
